This week, one of our partner environmental NGOs is taking the UK government to the High Court in the latest episode of the fight against sewage pollution in our rivers.

The hearing will take place on 4 July, and lawyers acting for our colleagues at WildFish are making two requests:
- Proper enforcement of UK law to prevent sewage dumping into rivers, which has been in force since 1994
- Getting rid of the current Storm Overflows Discharge Reduction Plan, which effectively allows water companies to continue breaking the law until 2050
