Trout in the Town: North of England Chapters Receive Accreditation

Continuing to process our flow of application responses (Thank you!) to our invitation to take part, we can now add some fantastic projects from the North of England to the list of officially accredited chapters.

This initiative was launched as part of the Urban River Conclave in Stalybridge (pictured above).

Each chapter will receive an official certificate plus one of the four ​“gongs” (below) that they can embed on their digital and print materials to help promote their activities and secure funding bids

One of the exciting aspects about these awards is it’s easy to see that several projects will quickly leap to the next level of accreditation. The ability to progress and more easily achieve the project goals is a very practical benefit to applying for accreditation. 

When groups follow the structures and activities set out in the Urban River Toolkit this reads directly across to the categories assessed in the accreditation. That way, by working through the different accreditation levels, it helps to set each project up for the best chances of success – and avoid common pitfalls along the way.
