One of the exciting aspects about these awards is it’s easy to see that several projects will quickly leap to the next level of accreditation. The ability to progress and more easily achieve the project goals is a very practical benefit to applying for accreditation.
When groups follow the structures and activities set out in the Urban River Toolkit this reads directly across to the categories assessed in the accreditation. That way, by working through the different accreditation levels, it helps to set each project up for the best chances of success – and avoid common pitfalls along the way.
If you’ve been accredited, congratulations again, and please do keep us up to date with all your news — either by emailing us directly, or by posting on the Trout in the Town Facebook group.
And if you haven’t been accredited yet, but you’d like your local urban river group to become part of our Trout in the Town movement, please contact Theo or Paul, and we’ll get things moving.
Go to our Trout in the Town programme page to find out more.
